Due to a lack of storage in the Ellis County Courthouse, prior years records are being stored in the archives.  Therefore if a request is made to retrieve these records this process could take from 5 to 7 days.  Requests may be made to the Ellis County Treasury, 1204 Fort Street, P.O. Box 520, Hays, KS 67601-0520; by calling 785-628-9465 from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M., Monday thru Friday, except on Holidays or email us at treasury@ellisco.net.  We will get your requested information to you as soon as possible.
